Windows 10: 3/18-19 2020 Windows 10 Update Issues

Hello,


My wife's computer is running Windows 10. Either 3/18 or 3/19/2020 an update was made. When the computer was started on 3/20 a screen was present saying an update had been made and that you had to log off of your account an log back in or anything you did would be lost. I logged out, and then logged back in. The desktop is a big blue window and all my files are not available.


How do I get back to my desktop and get access to my files?


This is very frustrating!!!

I proceeded with the steps to remove the updates and all updates were removed, however, after 3 reboots functionality has still not returned. The only current update showing is the security update (KB4508433) installed August 18. All apps listed above are
still not functioning. All my files, documents, photos, etc are gone. I am not tech savvy in any way, so not exactly sure why this happened, or how I can resolve it. I have paused updates until the 15th, but am uncertain what I can do at this point to restore
my windows to it's previous state. I am running windows 1903, would that make a difference?

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP
