Windows 10: 304 MB of Windows Update Cleanup Files Still Not Deleting

For months now, there has been 304 MB of Windows Update Cleanup file, including a more recent Package Rollup Fix, refusing to delete. The Package Rollup Fix won't delete due to it being open in another application. Fairly recently, I began having disk space troubles, my tablet is beginning to get old, & I saw Windows 10 will no longer be supported by next October, so I ordered a new tablet. It will not arrive until January the 22nd due to not being able to order it until late in the year & the holiday delay. I work with massive files & have done everything I could safely do, includ

Can't delete update cleanup files

When I go to settings > storage >storage to delete temporary files I can't delete update cleanup files Everything else that I check for deletion is deleted. I have never had had success with the windows cleanup utility in all my years using windows from XP on, and this time is no different. I am open to suggestions. Any help would be much appreciated.

As per your query, I would like to inform you that, it is safe to delete all the files with extension .tmp in the temporary files folder.

I suggest you to try deleting the temporary file manually by the steps provided below and check if it helps:

• Go to Windows key+ R and type
  temp
• Select all of the files and folders within the Temp folder and delete.
