    Hi,

Not all third-party cookies are dangerous. To know more about it, you can check this

    article
about the description of cookies. Look for First-party and Third-party Cookies section where it explains the difference between the two.

    Best.

opting out of advertising (and 3rd party cookies)

    Hi Friends,

While setting up a new Windows 10 system, I came across the Privacy settings and this page: http://choice.microsoft.com/en-us/opt-out

    There, it says:

"To opt out of personalized ads in this browser, your browser history must allow first-party and third-party cookies and you must have your browsing experience set to NOT delete browsing history on exit. Instructions for enabling cookies and configuring
your browsing history may be available in your browsers settings, privacy, or help documentation."

It seems incredibly counterintuitive to opt out of advertising, that a user must allow 3rd party cookies. For goodness sakes, aren't 3rd party cookies one potential source of advertising??

I just want to try and understand this. I wonder if someone could explain it for me. I want neither 3rd party cookies or advertising. Isn't there some way to accomplish that?

Thank you very much 3rd Party cookies Blocker :)
