Windows 10: 5.1 not working and Realtek Device Manager is missing

Hello,


Surround sound does not work outside of the speaker configuration window were you can test,there it works,in any other application it does not.
Now I don't know if it's related to the second issue that the Realtek manager is missing.
I have tried updating, uninstaling drivers, installing older versions and nothing seems to work.


I have checked online and the internet seems to be full of people with the same problem dating back to when windows 10 came out.


I have just reintsalled windows 10 on a different HDD if that help,it worked before and the realtek manager appeared.

Imaging Devices missing in Device Manager and Webcam doesn't working

Hi,

Since you mentioned that the said driver is missing in Device Manager, what we suggest is for you to check in the Hidden Devices section on Device Manager. Kindly follow the steps below:

• On the desktop, press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager.
• Click on View and select
  Show Hidden Devices.
• Check for the webcam under Imaging Devices.
• If the webcam is listed, then right-click on it and select
  Update Driver Software
• Select Browse My Computer for Driver Software and follow the prompted steps.

Realtek Audio NOT Working? [WINDOWS 10]

In order for us to assist you with the Realtek Audio, that is not working on your computer. Kindly follow these troubleshooting steps:

1. Go to Device Manager>Sound,
Video and Game Controllers.

2. Right-click Realtek High Definition Audio and
Update Driver Software.

3. Browse My Computer for Driver Software.

4. Under Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer, select
Install High Definition Audio Device.

5. Once it’s finished, repeat steps 1-4, and then install the
latest RealTek High Definition Audio Version.
