Windows 10: 5 min delay on cold start between login screen and bg screen

This command need to be run from powershell and not from cmd !

 

I cannot change any settings of AppX Deployment Service in task manager, though I am admin in this PC.



Where shall I find that readyboost?

I did get a new gaming keypad pretty much same time as this Windows update came, but I already uninstalled once it's driver to find if that was the case and it didn't make difference.

 

Try first to run the powershell command then we will deal with the other stuff

 

Thanks, now I am running this from powershell as admin. This deployment operation seem to take time, at least after 10 minutes looks

Now over 20 minutes and same window in powershell as in very start. It's past 10 pm in Helsinki Sunday evening, I'll let this run overnight and see what is my situation on morning*Think

It would be better to run this command from the powershell windows and not from the powershell ISE UI :

Did the command goes to the end at 100% ? I see only initialized !

 

Nope, waited only 10 minutes and it stayed as initialized stage. I'll let this command in powershell windows run through all night now. In the meantime I did a reboot after previous post and 5min black screen still exists.

 

Ok, let the powershell command run overnight
If the command didn't solve the problem, the try these steps in order:

• Disable superfetch service
  • Empty the following folder c:\Windows\Prefetch\
  • Restart the computer
  • Si ça ne marche pas, passer l'étape 2;
• Disable the AppXSvc from the registry: change the "Start" key value from 3 to 4 (see the screenshot)

 

I think one of this suggestions may solve your problem, but try first with the powershell command. let it run overnight. If no result, then continue with the next steps ...

 

One more thing to be considered; black screen 5 minutes after signing in only occurs with my admin sign in account; my wife signs in in a split second with her non admin account. So admin sign in account should be limited to solve this.

Superfetch I succed to disable, 5min remains. AppXSVC I see only gray in task manager and cannot change anything on it.
