Windows 10: 5g network disappeared.

This past summer I encountered an issue when trying to update windows. My computer wouldn't update to version 1903 so I completely reset/reinstalled windows. before I did this i was able to see and use two networks available through my wireless modem the base wireless connection and the 5g version. Ive been having issues with internet speed recently as its felt like my internet speed has been getting progressively slower more consistently of late. 5G Networks Disappeared from Network List

All 5GHz networks have suddenly and inexplicably disappeared from the network list on my Windows 10 PC. Normal 2.4GHz band networks are still there. Have been connected in the past, always (stuff streamed over to other computers on a weekly basis from it) and the network adapter, of course, supports 5G band.

All other devices show the (multiple) 5G networks nearby, including my network. I'm not sure what else to do but roll back the most recent Windows Update... which happened yesterday, suspiciously around the same time this problem began as far as I know.

Would appreciate if anyone has any other solutions to try out. Never seen anything like this. I hate Windows.

Tried:

• resetting router
  
• restarting computer
  
• updating network adapter driver (tried 3 different ones)
  
• network troubleshooting on PC, which shows a generic problem with access point but nothing else, and gives no other feedback than "try
  resetting router"
  
• sfc /scannow because why not
  

 

Windows 10 5G nbn wifi not showing up

There is a possibility that the wireless network adapter of your computer is not compatible with the 5G Wi-Fi network. Just to clarify, can your computer connect to other 5G networks?

For us to verify if your computer is compatible with the 5G Wi-Fi network, kindly provide the name of the wireless network card. To determine the device's name, follow these steps:

• Right-click the Windows logo, and then choose Device Manager.
• Expand Network.
• Locate the computer's wireless network card.

Wireless printer does not show my Asus router 5g network

It is possible that this issue is caused by the incompatibility between your network/router and printer. To better assist you we would like to verify some information:

• Can your other devices detect the 5G network?
• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
