5GHz Wi-Fi Speed Not Reaching Full Capacity

Hi, I'm having internet speed issue on my main user account and I don't know why... First, I thought it was a hardware issue, but I tried a speedtest on a new fresh created user account, and it ended up working well... Main user account : Speedtest by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test (150mbps maximum) New user account : Speedtest by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test (600mbps maximum) Still no changes after : - disabling all thrid-party programs with msconfig - sfc/dism didn't found any corruptions - reset my wireless card with up-to-date firmware - Repair Windows with the 'keep files and settings' feature The new user account ended up get stuck at 100mbps too after multiple tests. So, I create another user account and then got 500mbps.... I think something happens at some point... Intel Core i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz Intel Wireless-AC 9260 160MHz Windows 19043.1110 Thanks in advance!

    :)

Wi-fi connected, but says disconnected in internet pages and online games. (Also not getting full speed)

    Hi,

Yes I do actually... I can nearly get the same speed on the 5ghz network, but why can't my download speed reach 300mbps.It only averages 150mbps and my upload can go up as high as 210mbps. Is my onboard wi-fi out of date? Is it an issue in windows?

  4. 5GHz Wi-Fi Speed Not Reaching Full Capacity

    Windows 10 Not Receiving 5GHz Wi-Fi

I have recently upgraded to a 150 mbps Wi-Fi plan, and have noticed that my laptop barely scratches 50. Apparently, this is due to the fact that my laptop uses, and can only use, the 2.4 GHz, despite both the laptop and the Wi-Fi stick supporting 802.11a/n. I'm guessing this is a problem with the OS now, but correct me if I'm wrong.
