Windows 10: "A current driver on this PC may be better than the driver we're trying to install" - how...

Windows Update is stuck in this loop: -

I don't know why it's suddenly starting doing this as nothing has changed when it comes to hardware on my PC.

For some reason, it has installed these drivers today, despite drivers already being installed: -

Also, even though it says that the installations were successful, it still keeps trying to download and install a printer driver and something related to Xbox, keeping me stuck in a loop.

Any ideas? Why does it tell me that the drivers were successfully installed, then continue trying to install them? Why can I not choose to say "no, don't keep trying to reinstall the same thing over and over!"???

How can I fix this?

Hello, I am currently running build 1709 on a desktop and I am trying to upgrade to 1909 to be able to download the xbox app. However, I have been coming into this error for months.

A current driver on your PC may be better than the driver we're trying to install. We'll keep trying to install.

I've ran the troubleshooter and just about every other tip on the internet.

I did find a list of drivers in the "setupapi.dev" in the windows inf folder, I just don't know how to read it.

How do I find out which driver is affecting the Windows10 update, so I can uninstall it
