Windows 10: A few quick question about the new Edge and mail

Just ran into an odd issue that I don't know the source of. I mostly just use Outlook for my email client, but since edge has a share button with fast access to the Mail app, I sometimes use that to forward fun webpages to my family. Now I haven't done this in a while, and when I just did, for some reason it listed one recipient as having the address *** Email address is removed for privacy *** , which of course was a nonsense address outlook.com rejected. Looking through the mail program, the address book didn't have this sort of nonsense email anywhere, in addition when I tried creating a message and typing out the name for recognition, It brought up a few other wrong addresses that weren't in the People section. Is this probably just a minor giltch to keep an eye on I usually use outlook which has never had this problem or might it be a sign of some other possible problem to keep an eye on?


Oh and in addition, is there an option to put the Share icon next to the address bar like in the older version of edge. It's only one extra click, but streamlining is always a plus.

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

 

Microsoft Edge and Mail programs

I ran the steps to reinstall Windows 10 default apps after Defender showed no problems. I have my mail program back but instead of Edge I have Internet Explorer. Edge has got to be on this machine somewhere because when I clicked on a hyperlink in an e-mail
(that I trust) it opened in Edge. But I can't find edge in the programs.

If I click on start and type Microsoft Edge a list comes up with the Edge icon at the top and further down Edge is listed. I have tried right clicking and pinning to start but nothing happens. I have tried double left clicking to try to open but nothing
happens.

Any other suggestions?
