Windows 10: A message in a bottle....

Hello, I have a question about mantufactureer driver updates. How come Windows has never succesfully updated any drivers on my graphics card, sound card iCore proccessors. Yet when I try to update them instead of loading a direct link to the maker windows offers to search and install the update on the net or from their database. Or it asks if I want to search for a better driver in my pc. I think thats a good chuckle in itself because if I had that driver on the pc it wouldnt need updating now would it? Bottom line is why does windows not give a link to the makers website for dl on drivers if it can read the IE device in Device manager? You could try allowing that to be done can't you not? Also another thing If I am trying to dl off the Microsoft site what they suggest I need to repair some missing or damaged files for Win 8.1, using a pc with Win 10 onto a usb drive that I had previously formatted to win 8.1. Why does it make me reformat the USB to transfer the files onto to it. Then when I ytry to Expand said files onto the Win 8.1 pc. I get a popup about Win 8.1 failed to read the files because it cannot determine what program created it. This would make you revered as gods demi-gods or dieties if you fix that. Just saying.

^ what they said will both work. i suggest updating directX, and in the future please try and list the exact error message... and i want a muffin.

Windows Update Error Message 0x80070543


Ya Ya Ya, there's over a hundred threads like this, ...

Anyway, started getting this error message a few days ago, and done a lot of searching on this error message, apparently it's not, uncommon.

In particular, the (currently) 4 updates that are being affected are:

• Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3173428) - Error 0x80070543
• Security Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3172729) - Error 0x80070543
• Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3174060) - Error 0x80070543
• Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3176493) - Error 0x80070543

The actions I've taken to date are:

1. Uninstalled firewall program (comodo)
2. Uninstalled anti-virus (Avast)
3. Reset the windows update catalog on local machine.

So the above errors are with the above done.

What other steps should I be taking to resolve the issue?
