TLDR : Correctly moving user data from old windows HDD to new windows SSD (same PC) ?

DISCLAIMER : I'm a little Frenchie so there will be mistakes, I apologize in advance for that.

This is my first post here so I hope this is the right place.

Basically I messed up, I just got my new 1To SSD to put windows on and some heavy games (I'm gonna keep my current HDD as storage, it got 2 partitions, 1 with windows, applications and stuff, the other one for data storage and some Steam games). After putting the SSD and initializing it, I wanted to put windows and all on. I used a cloning software (I think it was AOMEI) and cloned my HDD onto my SSD.

Reboot and change in the BIOS to boot on SSD, didn't worked (obvious). After that I realize i surely done something wrong and cleaned the SSD with diskpart and reinitilized it afterward. It was pretty late so I shut down my boy and go to sleep. The next day was ouch for my mind since the computer woudn't restart even with restoring system and stuff, but this is not the concern, with a USB key I installed a fresh Windows 10 on the SSD. I know I will have to reinstall most of my stuff but what concerns me is about my user data on my HDD. Since I basically got a brand new user, I am wondering what's the best way to collect all my previous user data. Can I just copy my old user profile or is there a better method to do it ?

If you're still reading here, I deeply thank you and hope to find an answer.

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
