  1. A recent Windows 10 update broke my ability to burn Blu Ray discs

It appears that a recent Windows update I am not sure which one broke my ability to burn Blu Ray discs. I don't need to burn very many these days so I cannot pinpoint precisely when, but it is the only thing that changed on my computer since I last burned a disc successfully.Specifics:Windows 10 21H2 OS build 19044.1766Intel Core i7-@3.3ghz32 gb RAMNvidia GeForce GTX 1080 TiBurner: HL-DT-St BD-RE WH16NS60I can prepare an ISO image but when I burn the disc with the software I have, Vegas Creative Software DVD Architect V 7.0, the resulting disc will not play in either of the two set top play

  2. Burning Blu Ray

Hi, I was just wondering if in windows 10 you have to buy an external Blu Ray writer to be able to burn videos to a blank Blu ray disc? I have read this article How to Burn CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray Discs in Windows and
many others and am very confused with different answers to the question.

  3. Burning Blu Ray on Windows 10

Hi, after updating to Win 10 I have lost the ability to burn blue rays. i can put regular Cd's on both my drives and they work fine, but as soon as a Blu Ray disc or a blank Blu Ray disk is inserted in either drive win 10 hangs for a few seconds and then
crash. If any have had this problem and can help I will really appreciated. If I boot in to windows 7 both drives work perfectly.

A recent Windows 10 update broke my ability to burn Blu Ray discs

Nero2016 doesn't recognize my Blu ray drive as being able to burn Blu-rays

Purchased Nero 2016 recently with the intent to burn BluRays for archiving.

I have an Asus N56VZ laptop running Windows 10. The combo drive is a MATSHITA-BD-CMB UJ160 which I have been told by Asus tech support as being Blu-ray comatible.

However, whenever I try and burn a Blu-ray disc I get the following error in Nero BurningROM 2016 (and I definitely have the correct recorder chosen in the recorder drop down).
