  1. A shell command? How does that work?

DaveM121 showed (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...d-prompt/06ae47c8-47b7-4207-9c34-26b3d714b6d2) that, if I want to run this:

    "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.WindowsAlarms_10.1805.1361.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\Time.exe" -ServerName:App.AppXq8avk61zazpy808ab5ppkf6taqp47km6.mca

I should submit the following at a command prompt:

    explorer.exe shell:Appsfolder\Microsoft.WindowsAlarms_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App

A shell command? How does that work? How did Dave know to jamb together "Microsoft.WindowsAlarms_" & "8wekyb3d8bbwe" & "!App"?

Browsing "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\", I see lots of instances of "8wekyb3d8bbwe"? What is its significance?

What is "10.1805.1361.0_x64__" and why is it stripped out?

And where does "Appsfolder\" come from? There is no such folder named "Appsfolder" in my system ...is it a Magic Word?

I searched for answers, but it's hard to even formulate a decent search string that doesn't return a ton of stale or irrelevant results.

Is a construction like "Appsfolder\Microsoft.WindowsAlarms_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App" documented somewhere? ...a link to documentation is okay ...preferred actually.

The reason I ask is because I use Classic Start Menu and would like to launch other apps in CSM.

    Warm Regards,
    Mark.

    :)

In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
Are you able to follow them?
In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.

GPU-Z what command line parameter ?

Suggestion: /? (-?) and /help (-help) command-line arguments to show a list of all possible arguments in a small window. *Smile A shell command? How does that work? :)
