    a strange network problem

I ran into a problem last week with my network radio app.
My network is sharing a remote router signal. I have a Ubiquiti PBE-M2 400 connecting wirelessly to the remote router. It is connected via ethernet to my wifi router. When I login to the PBE thru my router wifi with my Asus n56 laptop running W10 2004 I get garbage and if I try to change anything, nothing works. To me it appears like the communication is garbled as if there are errors because something is running too fast, because parts of the display are normal. I found another laptop, an older less capable HP also running W10 2004. When I logged in with that via the router wifi everything was fine.
On the Asus I tried FF, Chrome, Edge & IE. Different errors but garbage on any browser. On the HP I just tried FF and that worked fine. Once in a blue moon, the Asus will login and run properly.

Does anyone have a clue as to why one computer can communicate and one cannot? This occurs even if I direct connect the radio to the computer, totally out of the network. It almost seems like the Asus is running faster (communication wise as it is a much faster processor) than the HP and the radio can't keep up with it, and that makes no sense to me. It is all the same WiFi system, everything should be the same speed. It should not depend on the computer.

The Asus can connect 2.4 or 5G. The HP only 2.4G, but I connected both ways on the Asus and it does the same thing on either.

    thanks for any clues.

    :)

    What is this network device?

This is a weird problem I've been seeing in windows for years now (not just windows 10). I've been unable to figure out what it is, but we're not alone in this, I did some research a while back and a lot of other people were seeing it as well.

Some suggest it's a bug in the network stack. Some suggest it's neighbors who are connecting somehow, but not able to use the network. Regardless, it's not an uncommon problem and doesn't seem to be anything worry about. Here's some examples:
