About The Group Policy In Windows 10 Home Edition?

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    How's things?,

I am using Windows 10 home edition and noticed there is no group policy where I can properly configure Windows Defender and already downloaded and installed a free group policy program from a well known website and it failed. Since this is the case I have moved on to your rival Kaspersky free where all settings are all on that antivirus page. Windows Defender used as it is and or configured through the group policy questions when I had the pro version of Windows 10 earlier on, didn't protect me from downloaded trojans which won either way. After accidentally downloading zip files and other programs hidden with trojans that I didn't know existed and at least I can count on my installed Kaspersky free antivirus to do a proper job in defending my computer which Windows Defender still failed to do as it has been so right back to Windows 7.I trusted Windows Defender in July 2020 and all I got in return was a lemon for protection. I even tried the offline scan by Windows Defender and the MRT tool which also failed miserably and what total nonsense to say improvements have been made to Windows Defender in July 2020,after my continuous bad encounters that has continued on..,bye

    :)

    GROUP POLICIES IN WINDOWS 10

You can change Group Policies by opening Group Policy Editor first. You can open it by following these steps:

    • Log in an administrator account. If you are already logged in as an administrator, proceed to step 2.
    • Press Windows + R to open Run.
    • Type gpedit.msc and press Enter.

After opening Group Policy Editor, you can now make the necessary changes that you want.

Should you have more concerns, feel free to post.

    Regards.

About The Group Policy In Windows 10 Home Edition?

    Group Policy on home machine?!?!?!?!?

    Hi,

Had the same issue on a number of occasions. This is what solved it for me:

Steps to fix 'Some settings are managed by your organization' message in Windows 10
Make sure you have administrator rights and follow the steps below:

Step 1: Launch Run prompt by right clicking the Windows Start menu icon. Type in gpedit.msc and click OK or Enter.
Step 2: In Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc), go to Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Data Collection and Preview Builds.
Step 3: Find the Allow Telemetry item and double-click it to edit the policies.
Step 4: Change the setting to Enabled. Change the drop-down menu entry to 3-Full and click Apply.
Step 5: Now open the item again and change its Setting to Not configured and hit the Save button.
The message should no longer stop you from accessing various system settings in Windows 10.

    Cheers, *Wink
