Absolutely no admin accounts on my windows 10 pc, + a system error 5 when i try to run a net user command. i just need to open system restore but i cant since the yes button for euc is gone.I was being an idiot and ran NewSID, and after i restarted my pc it brang me to a point where like i first got my pc, or whatever. but theres no admin accounts on my pc, i tried checking and theres no members.

System error 5 has occurred even as admin - (cmd) Windows 10

My system is Windows 10 Pro x64, with the latest updates applied.

When I try to execute any "net" command in cmd (eg: net stop TeamViewer, net users, etc') I get the error "System error 5 has occurred. Access is denied."

I have researched for hours and did every possible solution I saw mentioned anywhere but still no luck.
Here are a few facts:

1. I opened the cmd with admin rights (see screenshot below)
2. I am the sole PC user with full admin rights.
3. This happens even if I disable Windows Firewall.
4. My UAC is disabled and in the registry, EnableLUA is set to 0.
5. Created a new administrator account and tested it there. Same issue.
6. Also in Windows Built-in administrator account, the issue happens.

How can I give myself access to run net commands?

 

Strange Windows 10 User Account issue.

Unfortunately I had done those steps numerous reboots, it just, reappears for no good reason. The base account isn't even a Microsoft account, it's a local account.

I haven't quite tried the built in administrator account on W10, but so far in my experience on my own computer, the built in account seemed to have absolutely no more control than I did on my own.

It's just strange, I go in, it warns me twice about deleting the account, then it's gone. Reboot, and it's back?

EDIT: Just to specify, both command line and Netplwiz both say only HIS account exists on the computer, it doesn't list this rogue account. This is what I meant in my first post about the fact that even Windows doesn't seem to believe it exists, HALF the time. *Frown
