Windows 10: Access denied to C: drive serious issues

Discus and support Access denied to C: drive serious issues in Windows 10 Support to solve the problem; What I would do is scan everything for malware.     Marko, what should I scan? My dead PC or my lap top. I am not very computer savvy and so far everything I have done has not worked. My main PC, upgraded from W7 to W10 OK ran for about a week then I lost access to my C: drive, from that point on I have been taking advice from various people and things have gone from bad to worse.

    Hi. If you're not skilled enough to look into the things then it may be best for a professional to handle it and save you a bunch of frustration.
    It could be from a Memory problem to a HDD malfunction to a software problem.
    If you're sure its not memory or HDD, scan for malware and perhaps format, install everything clean.

    Can tell you much other than that.

    As a last resort I put in my Windows 7 Bootable disc created in Feb 2016. It ran and loaded files etc and then asked for a XXX.cal file of my back ups I have two, one for C: and one for D:. I started on C: and after a while the following error occurred.

    Access denied to C: drive serious issues [​IMG]

    My last ditch attempt to get my PC working has failed!
    I want to give up!

    I will have one more go tomorrow and if that does not work then I shall have to give up while I am away.
