  1. Accidentally clicked an ad that gave me a pop up.

    Hello,

I forgot what website it was but it gave me a popup about my computer being blocked on the website. I panicked and clicked the "leave now" option on the pop-up since it wouldn't let me click the actual X on the tab and it closed the browser for me. I'm really nervous that it might have installed something on my computer. I ran Windows Defender Offline at least two times and it didn't say there was anything wrong with my PC. I have also run the Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool.

Are there any extra steps I can take? Nothing seems unusual so far but I'm just really anxious. I've already checked the programs installed on my computer and I can't see anything out of the ordinary. Am I okay?

    :)

  2. ? Block pop-ups in Edge on the phone

    Hello,

Pop-ups or pop-up ads are online advertisement that opens a new browser window when clicked or when the website was accessed. For now, the feature of blocking pop-ups or pop-up ads is available for browsers installed on PC's or desktops.

We request that you file this or up-vote an existing feature suggestion using the Windows Feedback Hub app. To submit a new feedback/suggestion, you can follow the steps provided below:

    • Go to All Apps, search for the Feedback Hub app or press and hold Volume
Down+Power button for about 2-3 secs to launch the Feedback Hub app.
    • Open the menu icon at the top left side.
    • Select Feedback, then at the top right side, tap the add button (+).
    • Select Suggestion and fill up the box with the details needed.
    • Select the right category for the suggestion and then submit.

Should you need further assistance, don't hesitate to get back to us.

Windows 10 Share on right click

I recently right clicked on a sensitive file and instead of clicking on Open with, accidentally clicked on the Share button. The following window popped up:

I immediately pressed the Esc key and the window disappeared. Does this window automatically share the file with the contacts listed in this window? Or would I have had to select a contact and go through additional steps to actually share the file? I'm worried that I've shared sensitive financial information with contacts that really shouldn't have seen them.
