    Accidentally removed devices from account

Just as the title states, I removed some of my devices that were on my account, that I no longer have in my possession. The problem is, on this new laptop that I have I am not able to activate windows on it for some reason, even when I tried to use the "changed hardware recently" option. So I thought maybe removing the devices that I had installed windows on, and used my product key on when I installed it on them.
Is there any resolution to this? I know that I have installed Windows with a product key on a few of the devices that I had on my account, but would they be tied to my account or the devices themselves? its seeming that they are tied to the devices, because I cannot for the life of me get the auto activate thing to work.

any ideas on this matter would be awesome,
    thanks in advance!

    :)

    Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:
    1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
    2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:
      Code:
      net user test /del

  3. Remove Devices

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are facing issues while removing the device from your Microsoft account as it keeps popping back after removing.

It could be possible that the device was using OneDrive with the same Microsoft account and that might be the reason you are able to see the device listed under your profile. I would suggest you to remove the device from OneDrive
    and see if that helps.

You can follow the steps to remove the device from OneDrive.

    1. Login to
      https://onedrive.live.com
      .
    2. Now on the left hand pane click on PC’s.
    3. Now click on the devices that are listed under PC’s and on the right hand side click on
      Remove PC.

If the issue persists, please get back to us with the results of the troubleshooting steps to assist you further.

Accidentally removed device from www.windowsphone.com. How to restore?

    Hi,

I accidentally removed my Windows Phone device from www.windowsphone.com, so now when I log in and go to My Phone, the device isn't listed any more. Is there any way I can add this back? I've tried syncing my Live account and connecting to Zune etc. to
    no avail.

    Thanks,
    Mark
