Windows 10: Account blocked

Hello


I have an old account, made around 7 years ago, if I remember correctly.


I lost access to that account last summer, when I lost my phone, and along side it all my credentials, including ones for other accounts. Since then, I have managed to recover almost all of my accounts, except for this one.


I have tried for some time now, every few months, with no success. I can't login and I can't recover the account. I tried using the recovery form, but other than my name, my birth date and location, I don't remember any other details regarding my account. Also, I had Two-Factor Authentication activated, but that was lost also, along with my phone last summer.


Is there any way to recover my account? The e-mail that is it tied to, *** Email address is removed for privacy *** , is the one I still use daily, and I have access to it, I use it for all kinds of stuff. Ironically, I had to make another account, this one, to ask a question on the forum as a last resort, since I couldn't with my old one.


In the end, if my account is blocked forever, it's quite sad and that's the way it's gonna be, but it's weird to have a different e-mail for a different Microsoft account, when I still have access to my current e-mail. If needed, I can prove that I own the lost account, providing details regarding myself, if only someone from Customer support would respond to this message.

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

• Log in to https://familysafety.microsoft.com/ using your Microsoft Email account.
• Find the user that is correspond to the computer account on the Windows that you are having issue with.
• Click on "App Restrictions".
• Under App Restrictions, click on "App list".
• Here, you can Allow or Block the Apps/Games that you want.

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
