Windows 10: Account Lockout Threshold

Earlier today I got locked out of my laptop for 2 hours due to failed sign in attempts. I know my password, but I tend to make typos, and got unlucky this time. I wanted to change the settings so I could stop this from happening again. However, when I do `net accounts` in an elevated command prompt, it seems I'm already set to never lockout, and in the hypothetical situation that I were locked out, it should only be for 30 minutes.Why did I get locked out if the lockout threshold is set to never? Why was it 2 hours and not 30 minutes? How can I make sure it doesn't happen again?

I can't change the value of the account lockout threshold for the account lockout duration property because it is grayed out on the Windows 10 workstation. any ideas?

Is there an equivalent to the 'Account lockout threshold' security policy setting for Windows 10 Home users?

My understanding is that Windows 10 Home users don't have access to the Account lockout threshold security policy setting (and by extension the Account lockout duration policy setting) because Local Security Policy isn't available in Windows 10 Home. Is
there an equivalent setting available that will allow me to set a threshold for login attempts and lockout duration on my laptop?

That’s the domain controller, right? So it’s not in the group policy. You could modify in the Control panel > Administrative Tools > Domain

controller security policy.

If your computer is not domain controller, you could remove all the group policy. Click here to get the steps.
