Windows 10: account picture (cache?)

When I provide an account picture (uploaded) it works ok, but there are other old ones that are selectable. How/where do I get rid of those old pictures?

Clear the 'cache' in file explorer for already used picture tags?


If you set some tags for your *.jpg pictures, the windows 10 file explorer shows them in the "details pane" on the right side.





This list can get very long and with some wrong or no longer used entries.
How can I clear this list / cache / suggestions?

Or how can I stop the file explorer to suggests already used Tags?

Just to clarify, Are you able to view picture in Settings >Accounts?

If you are unable to view account picture

I suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.

• Type Settings in the search bar.
• Click on Accounts and Under Your picture.
• Click on Browse and set profile picture.

And check if the issue persist.
