Windows 10: Acer Aspire R-14 - Two Hours to Boot

My daughter has an Aspire R14, R3-471, touchscreen, manufactured 11/10/2014, Windows 10 Home version 2004 build 19041-630, 6GB RAM, Intel Core i5-4210U CPU. It runs fine once it boots up. However, when it is shut down and started up, or restarted, the screen is black and seems to have a pulsating oval black\dark gray "blob" in the middle of the screen. It will stay like this for about two hours before continuing to boot. As I said, once booted, it works fine.

I was able to do this a few times and load windows updates fine. I did a Reset on the PC, saving files and reinstalling Windows. It still does the same thing. I ran the Intel CPU utility and it passed all tests. I ran the Western Digital Data Lifeguard HDD tests and it passed both SMART and Extended tests 100%. The battery works and the charger works. I reviewed the Event Viewer System Logs and didn't really see anything that was alarming (but I am not an expert). I haven't done anything with the BIOS as I'm not sure how to get into it given the weird boot situation. It has passed Windows Defender scans and I am now running a Malwarebytes scan.

I have searched extensively and not found an obvious cause. Any help would be appreciated!

Acer Announces the Aspire R 13 and Aspire R 14 Series Convertible Notebooks

Acer today announced the Aspire R 13 and Aspire R 14 Series, two new convertible notebook lines that can transition between various notebook and tablet style modes of operation. The R 13 Series features Acer's Ezel Aero hinge that allows the display to rotate into six different positions. All models can also be used with the optional Acer Active Pen. The R 14 Series of convertible notebooks features a 360 degree dual-torque hinge that allows it to be used in four usage modes. Both notebooks are designed for those who don't want to give up a traditional notebook design, but want more options and flexibility.

Both the R 13 Series and R 14 Series were unveiled today at Acer's Global Press Conference at IFA 2014 in Berlin, Germany, where the company announced their entire line of holiday products. They can be viewed at the Acer Booth in Berlin Messe (Hall 12/101), which will be open to the public from September 5-10.

Aspire R 13 Series - Intelligent Construction and Smart Features Enhance Work and Play
Less than 1 inch thin and just over 3 pounds (1.5 kg), the lightweight Aspire R 13 Series incorporates the inventive Acer Ezel Aero hinge that provides both flexibility and stability. The 13.3-inch display is affixed to this special hinge at the sides, which allows the screen to rotate 180-degrees so it can be used in six different ways. This quick and effortless way to transition between various modes gives it the productivity features of a traditional clamshell notebook with the convenience of a tablet. Acer's patented dual-torque system hinge keeps the display stable and in place when touch navigation is used. Earphones don't work on Acer Aspire E 14

I recently updated my Acer Aspire E 14 Windows 10 and my earphones aren't working.

My earphones work on my iphone perfectly but not on here. Sound can still be played on my laptop but not when my headphone was connected to it

I've tried:

Method 1: Run the Troubleshoot Hardware and Devices.

Hardware troubleshooter reviews, diagnose and identifies operational or technical problems within a hardware device.

1. Press Windows Key +R, type Control Panel.
2. Type troubleshooting in the search bar, click on troubleshooting.
3. Click on Hardware and Devices.
4. Follow the steps from the wizard to run the troubleshooter. ---->
   Problem persists

Method 2: Follow the below steps to set your headphone as default.

1. Right-click on the speaker icon on your taskbar.
2. Select "Playback Devices".
3. On a empty space, right click and select both Show Disconnected/Disabled Devices
4. Check if your headphone is shown in the devices list ------>
   Headphone didn't shown up.

Acer Aspire One Cloudbook 14

My son has an Acer aspire one cloud book 14 and he wanted to factory reset it but it says that it encounters a problem he keeps getting the blank screen and the Acer logo over and over again please help. And the alt. and f10 doesn't work either
please help
