Windows 10: Acer freezing

I have an acer aspire 5 that I got off of facebook marketplace and when u first got it everything was okay. I started setting up the laptop and I downloaded fl studios. After fl studios finished downloading I opened and and it was working for about 1 minute then everything froze. I tried ctrl alt delete, esc, and the windows button. The only thing I could do was turn it off. When I reset it it was working again and I went on Google and it froze again within 2 minutes. After this happening multiple times I tried factory resetting the laptop through holding alt and f10. The laptop started factory resetting and it was loading but only got up to 48% before the screen went black and crashed. I'm not sure how to fix it and no solutions I've found on the internet have worked so far.

you should also contact Acer to find out if they have a suggested fix for this problem. You may have to install a slightly older driver.

 

Screen Freezing up

Andre, thanks for your suggestions. I performed all steps as you listed and it appears that there were

some problems that have been corrected. I will let you know in a day or so if the "freeze" problem

occurs again. Many thanks for your help --- this took longer than I expected!
