Windows 10: Acer Nitro 5 gives me blue screen of death whenever I close and then open laptop.

Hi! New here. I have a Acer nitro 5 that I upgraded to windows 11 and every time I close the laptop and open it again I keep getting the blue screen of death that says critical_process_died. I’ve tried everything the windows page tells me to do and I can’t seem to figure it out. Has anyone else had this issue? What else can I do to fix this? Other than this small quirk the computer works 100%.

Hi TN. I'm Greg, an installation specialist, 10 year Windows MVP, and Volunteer Moderator here to help you.

Go into BIOS/UEFI Setup to see if you can set the onboard chip to default. You can power on while pressing the Acer F1 or ESC key. Older models may use F2. This may be listed on the BIOS splash screen.

If you don't get a display for the BIOS even, then I'd reinstall the Nvidia card and properly disable it in BIOS setup before removing it this time.

ntoskrnl.exe Windows 10 crash "Blue screen of death" RAM

Hey,

I recently upgraded my RAM memory on my laptop (Acer Nitro 5). The RAM is compatible with the laptop (same speed, ddr4, 8GB). The problem is that whenever I try to boot up the windows, the screen turns black with Acer logo. Then I have to press the power
button, and the blue screen of death shows up. After it the windows works properly.

I've also checked the memory with Windows Memory Diagnostic, there wasn't any error, the ram seems fine.

Please help me to solve this problem.

Black Screen on Acer Nitro 5

Hello, I have been using my new acer nitro 5 and I just got a problem on it. I updated my computer, then I signed in and there was a black screen with my cursor. After a little bit, it showed the tool bar and my background but not my apps. If I put my
cursor over the toolbar, there is just a loading symbol and it never stops loading. Please I really want help so I can use my computer again.
