Windows 10: Acer predator sense will not open because of the new Windows 10 update

The Acer Predator Sense app on my helios 300 is no longer opening because of the new Windows update. It won't even let me uninstall the windows update to go back to the previous version that the app worked on.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Acer Predator and Windows 10 1709 updates

Since the 1709 updates installed themselves on my Acer Predator a few days ago (i7, 32Gb RAM, SSD) my boot times have gone from 5s to 5 minutes - no joke

To make matters worse, an update this morning has removed all of my apps. Even Outlook wants me to set up my account again.

What is happening with your Quality Control and how do I rectify my ridiculously slow boot.
