    Acpi.sys

    Hello,

I hope someone may be able to shed some light on this system issue I am having please.

Its regarding ACPI.sys and system interrupts.

    My system - Asus X541na -GQ234T

    WINDOWS HOME X64 10.0.19042 BUILD

    CPU N4200 @ 1.10GHZ

    BIOS VERS. AMERICAN MEGATRENDS X541NA.324

I tried to solve this following lots and lots of different forums but still have not succeeded.

I just want the system to do basic tasks without hanging it literally hangs when you click the windows button to get the start menu up or even just clicking to open a folder.

I have tested all the hardware I can think of i.e hdd, ram, cpu, network card and all tests have come back fine with the different bits of free software I have acquired online.

I have completely removed windows, downloaded a new copy on an external hdd and then reinstalled windows and the same situation is happening high CPU, system Interrupts fluctuating between 25% and 51% cpu usage and when I run Latency mon it tells me its acpi.sys and task manager is displaying system interrupts at a high cpu usage.

Any help will be greatly appreciated as the time I have spent trying to find a solution has really worn me out.

    Thanks

    :)

“Missing ASUS ACPI Driver windows 10

There is a step by step guide on what to do here
    http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/faq/id-1959382/missing-asus-acpi-driver-windows-back.html
It refers to Windows 8, but the remedy has worked for many other people.

If you don't feel like trying that yourself, then all that I can suggest is that you ask you local computer store to help, or find a friend who understands windows computers, show them this thread and ask them to help you with the process of installing the
    hotkey utility.
