Windows 10: Activating Windows 10 after upgrading hardware

Here is the situation.

I used to have 2 computers with Windows 10 professional installed, one built by myself , the other was an old Lenovo computer. They were both upgraded from windows 7, which use digital licenses.

Recently I decided to upgrade my self-built computer, I bought a new motherboard and cpu, replaced them for my self-built pc. Then I used the old parts (cpu and motherboard), combining with the old Lenovo computer's hard drive plus some ram, to create two "new" computers, and here comes the problem.

The old pc (built with my old motherboard) works fine with windows activation, but the pc with new motherboard and cpu is having trouble activating. While in the activation page, it shows error 0xC004C003, using the trouble shoot also didn't solve the problem either.

I went through the support on Microsoft's website and find no suitable solution. I wonder if anybody has similar experiences or have an idea on how to solve the problem.

or you could hack it with a crack but please note this is always risky and you don't know what's in the hack

I won't buy a key, stupid.

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?

 

Windows 10 Activation (Insider)

This kinda sucks. However, if one is upgrading from a retail W7/8, then it should activate on different hardware, with possible phone activation required if it's been over 120 days or whatever the timeout period is now since the last activation. Remember to erase the copy on the old hardware, of course.
