Windows 10: Activation code

Hi ,

My friend has a version of windows 10 which is not activated correctly , and now he bought a legally activation code and he afraids of entering the new code and then his code becomes blocked

Is this statement right or not ?! I mean is that possible for his code to be blocked?!do we have code blocks?!

3. You’ll get We couldn’t activate Windows error message.
4. Retry steps 1-3 then type your 25-characters unique product key.
5. Wait for the process to complete, Windows 10 is activated.
