Windows 10: Activation error code 0xC004F025 after change of motherboard

I have windows 10 version 1803 with digital licence through free upgrade from win 7

I replaced a broken motherboard with an identical new model

can't activate - error code 0xC004F025

went step by step through activation/troubleshoot -
after a few trys [server not available] it finally logged in my account, shows my device,
but now always return with error message 'We can’t reactivate Windows on this device. Try again later. '

logged into my account, where I can see 2 identical devices with same motherboard
Gigabyte B250M-HD3

First device says 'no issues found' but shows no specific details upon opening

Second device says 'Find my device is turned off' shows details about hard drives and 'Your device is up to date - Last checked : September 26, 2017'

[so obviously referring to the old removed motherboard]

Win website doesn't offer any other solution for me to try. no idea what to do anymore

Windows 10 Activation Error Code: 0xC004F025

So I'm having issues with activating Windows 10 at the moment. I had it running on my old rig but recently built a new one. I bought Windows 10 Home back in 2018.


At least it should be the Home version. However right now it's showing as Windows 10 Enterprise. I don't know if that's the same thing and honestly not sure if that's what it was before.







I tried troubleshooting but that didn't seem to help.









Can anyone help me figure this out?

Supposed to be activated but aren't because of an error code 0xc004f025. What to do?

An error code 0xc004f025 is keeping my Windows 10 from being activated, please help
