Windows 10: Activation Of Windows 10

So I recently upgraded my MB and CPU, and i am trying to re activate my Windows 10 and between the severs being down and getting threw over the phone I am getting 0 satisfaction.


I am asked to provide a Key that I got maybe 7-8 years ago or contact a company that no longer operates to get a key. Now I bought my old PC with a personal Key for windows not one they install OEM I think its called.


So I cant provide the key from the Windows 7 I upgraded from I cant get proof of purchase and am now asked to pay 145 euro to get a new key?


A key that I DID have access too 3 or so years ago as I upgraded my Motherboard and CPU then also....


I am getting an Error code 0xc004c003


I have also removed the old pc on the list of devices thinking that it might be conflicting now it turns out even tho its still appears on my account I am getting this message. " We can’t find any devices linked to your Microsoft account that can be used for reactivating the device you’re using right now "


If anyone can shed some light on this I would very much appreciate it!


It just seems like BS that they make you pay 145 euro for something I have already purchased and have been using for the last 7 years....

I won't buy a key, stupid.

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?
