Windows 10: Actual size of the Windows 10 ISO bootable file?

Hi, I want to know about the actual size of the Windows 10 ISO bootable file.I used the Media Creation Tool from the Microsoft official website and then downloaded the ISO file from within the set-up and then used RUFUS v4.5 to create a bootable Win 10 64 bit thumb drive using GPT-NTFS.Previously, in 2022 when I did so, the bootable drive was around 7.9 GB but now it shows only 4.58 GB used! It's a good thing that the file size is lower but I am concerned that the process has not be done properly. The ISO file downloaded via the Media Creation Tool itself is 4.77 GB. Multi-bootable USB

Hey guys from TPU, couldn't find any specific thread pertaining to the question asked on title. As mentioned, I'm trying to create a bootable USB, but with many specifics boots available.

I've been trying to create one with multiple boot device including one that enables me to run Windows 10 directly on the USB Thumb Drive but to no avail.

The list of bootable images i'm trying to create are

1. Windows 10 (A full OS running from thumb drive)
2. Windows 10 ISO (Bootable disk image for fresh install)
3. MemTest86+

Have tried YUMI or UUI from the website USB PenDrive Linux but as this is my first time, i don't know how am i screwing up or am doing it right.. Anyone got a rough idea on a step by step guide? Thanks!

 

Bootable USB to ISO

He's not trying to make a bootable USB. He wants to restore the ISO from the bootable USB (the reverse operation).

Bootable USB with ISO - What am I missing?

Have you copied all the files from the ISO to the flash drive? I can't see that step.


After step 10. (after formatting and making it the active partition)

Copy files from the ISO to flash drive.

Open CMD as administrator.

navigate to the flash drive, lets call it drive Z and type in the following commands.
Z:
cd boot
bootsect.exe /nt60 z:
exit


Then try again.
