Windows 10: Adapter and Binding options missing in Windows 10

Per this question, https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...ndows-10/e63b9a6b-1d09-4704-94c1-7e2228b036b3 the "Adapter and Binding" tab option was removed in Windows 10.


However, the link in that answer which discuses why it was removed is dead (no longer takes you to the article) and no option is given to adjust the binding order.


This is unacceptable because it is is necessary to change the binding order when you have certain VPN clients installed and need to use Wireshark to capture traces, or NMap for capturing npcap captures. Without the ability to alter the order, you cannot capture both sides of the network communication on the Client device.


Hence there must be a method to alter the binding order for certain troubleshooting needs.

Windows 10 Adapter binding order (broken?)

The ethernet adapter binding order dialog seems to be a no-op on windows 10. I use OpenVPN (and the tun/tap adapter), and need that adapter to be first in the list so that DNS queries go to my intranet DNS servers rather than the internet ones.

The dialog seems to work (you can change the order of the adapters), but clicking OK doesn't actually save the changes.

Any ideas?
