    Adapter / Computer Issues?

    Hello,

I've been having some issues with my Internet recently. I'm no expert when it comes to technology, so forgive me if I make any mistakes while explaining.

So recently, the last couple of days, I have been having issues with my Internet connection randomly going out. Randomly, my Internet will go to "No Internet, Secured." Once in this stage, I begin to have many issues. the "available networks" tab will only show the Wi-Fi I am currently using. If I try to disconnect from the Wi-Fi or turn off Wi-Fi, it will freeze and I can't turn anything back on. Then, if I exit out of the tab, it will not let me get back into it. It also wont let me use "Type here to search." when it happens. When I troubleshoot it, the only solution they give is turning the adapter off and back on again, but that solves nothing. The only thing that actually works is restarting the computer, and after that it comes back on immediately.

I'm not sure what the issue is. I've tried an "sfc/ scannow" but it did not fix the situation.

Does this sound like an adapter issue, router, or something else? I feel like it can't be the router because it fixes by restarting the computer, but I don't know. Please let me know if you have any idea.

    Thank you.

    :)

IP configuration not valid - interference from ethernet adapter?

Solution 1: No Internet Access In Windows 8.1or Windows 10

    Step 1:

Go to Device Manager → Network adapters.
    Step 2:

    Expand it (Network adapters).

    Step 3:

    Select your network adapter

    Step 4:

Right click on your wireless network adapter or Ethernet adapter and then tap “Update Driver Software”.
(in this case your network adopter is Ethernet adopter so tap your Ethernet adapter)
    Step 5:

Now on a new window you will need to click on “Browse my computer for driver software”.

    Step 8:

After the completion of the process just restart your PC and check if the problem is solved or not. If not, goto solution 2.

Solution 2: No Internet Access In Windows 8.1,windows10

    Step 1:

    Open command prompt.
    Step 2:

Just go on hitting the enter after typing the each command.
netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disable
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
    Step 3:

Now to check if the settings are disabled type:
    netsh int tcp show global
    then hit enter.
    Step 4:

Now the thing left is just rebooting your system and just check if the problem is solved or not and just give feedback.*chuckle*Thumbs

    Adapter / Computer Issues?

Wireless adapter not found in Device Manager

I ran the Lenovo Solution Center. Network Adapter was not listed in the hardware scanned. Not sure if there is a separate listing for that normally or not.

Ever since I ran a power cycle the adapter has not appeared in the Device Manager.

Does anyone believe removing the adapter and putting it back would solve the issue? I would rather not open my computer if there is little chance of it solving the issue. I am a complete novice doing this.

Not sure if this is relevant but in my Network Adapter in Device Manager there was "Microsoft Kernel Debug Network Adapter". It has since disappeared.
