Windows 10: Add 'Copy To folder' and 'Move To folder' Context Menu in Windows 10

Yes, I Googled for this tutorial and used several .reg files from what I think are reliable websites like Howtogeek, Askvg, Superuser.

 

No worries. Those keys are located there by default in Windows, and are what the context menu references to run "Copy To Folder" and "Move To Folder".

Those wouldn't be responsible for the context menu.

You'll need to edit the .reg file you used from whichever site to add the context menu to see the registry key it added for the context menu to be able to remove it.

 

Thanks. In the meantime I found out what's wrong. It's obviously a complete misunderstanding of what these reg files do.

What I did is use your reg file in step 2 that brought back two registry keys. And the result showed that's not at all what I'm after :S What I'm after is the removal of the entry above these two which is also named 'copy to' and is a cascading menu that shows dekstop, documents, email contact, compressed folder and several partitions.

To be able to delete the key below, you would need to first take ownership of it, then set permissions to "Allow" the "Administrators" group "Full control". Afterwards, you should be able to delete it.
