Windows 10: Add printer dialog disappears or simply does not show up

Hi there,I tried installing my network printer through the Devices and Printers section of Control Panel. Whenever I click on the, "Add printer" button, the dialog window appears and disappears immediately. After a few failed attempts to get that to work, I tried going through the Printers & Scanners section of Settings. Clicking on the, "Add a printer or scanner" button just closes the Settings window.After trying that a few times, I then decided to just download the installation software from HP. Even though the software clearly recognizes the printer shows the model, IP, and MAC addres

Network printer disappeared after windows 10 update

After doing the latest update of windows 10, for some reason one of my network printers has disappeared. I am still able to print on the other 2 network printers that I have installed, but the 3rd one is missing. When I try to go add it again it doesn't
show up in the suggested list after going into add a device from the device and printers menu. And for some reason now it doesn't give me the option to even select "the printer I want inst listed".

Any thoughts?

Printer shows up Everywhere Except in "Devices & Printers"

An hour or so later, both printers now show up in "Devices & Printers." The new printer is checked as being the Default Printer; which is my preferred scenario. The old printer is also still in the list. Why the new printer disappeared from the list
in the first place is a mystery to me.

 

Wireless printers are both on but they show as offline

Method 1:

I suggest you to run printer diagnostic tool utility which automatically fix printing issues like printer does not work, unable to install printer, cannot connect to a network printer and other printing errors. You may refer to

Method 2:

If issue still persists, I suggest you to install the printer drivers in compatibility mode to make sure that the drivers are installed properly.

Please follow the steps below for more information:

• Right click on the setup file of the driver and select
  Properties
• Select Compatibility Tab
• Place a check mark next to Run this program in Compatibility mode and select the operating system accordingly from the drop down list
• Click OK and run the setup.
