Adding a program to Windows 10 Startup is not working correctly

I'm using a program called Soprosnap.exe that I want to automatically start when the computer boots or at least when I login to Windows. I've tried a couple of different things but it's still not working. Here's what I've tried:

    1. Added shortcut to the Startup folder at C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

    https://tunecomp.net/add-program-to-startup-windows-10/

    2. Used Registry Editor

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/setupapi/run-and-runonce-registry-keys?redirectedfrom=MSDN

If I login to Windows and I double click the shortcut on the desktop, I see the program running in the taskbar. When I tried the 2 methods listed above, nothing happened when I reboot the PC and login to Windows. I want the program to start automatically so the user doesn't have to manually open it each time.

    :)

Adding programs to startup with Windows 7?

You could add entries to the registry to launch the apps on startup, but it's easier to just add them to the startup foler as Newt suggested.

  3. Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.
