    Adding an app to "Blocked Apps and Games"


    How do I add an application to "Blocked Apps and Games" on my child's profile. I want to be able to block Fortnite when I feel that he's had enough. Please help!

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

    I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps:

    • Log in to Microsoft account | Your family using your Microsoft Email account.
    • Find the user that is correspond to the computer account on the Windows that you are having issue with.
    • Click on "App Restrictions".
    • Under App Restrictions, click on "App list".
    • Here, you can Allow or Block the Apps/Games that you want.

    Family Safety App Blocking Not Working

    Hi Mike,

    Let's make sure that the apps you mentioned are properly blocked to ensure that your kids will not be able to access it. To do that , follow the steps below:

    • Log in to your Family Safety account.
    • Click App, games & media.
    • Toggle on the Block inappropriate apps and games option.
    • Under Limit apps, games, and media from Store, click the drop-down list to adjust the restriction.
    • In the Blocked apps & games list, check if Google Chrome is included.

    Let us know if your child is still able to do some search even though it's already blocked so we can further assist you.

    Adding an app to "Blocked Apps and Games"

    Adding blocked apps in WIN 10 for child account.

    I was looking for the solution for this issue as well and stumbled on this solution:

    1. Go to the family site --> (Microsoft account | Your family)

    2. Click on the "More Options" under the family member you wish to change

    3. Select "Apps, games & media"

    4. On the left pane, click on "Recent Activity"

    5. Select the app that you wish to block and click on "Block". (I blocked Chrome.)

    6. On the left pane again, click on "Apps, games & media".

    7. Scroll to the "Blocked apps & games" area.

    8. The blocked app should be listed there.... (Chrome was added, in my case...)
