    Adding gmail accounts to Microsoft mail


    Hi,

    After updating to Win Pro 10 64 v.1809 build 17763.316 (from v. 1803), I could not sync with my gmail accounts anymore.

    I deleted them.

    I am now unable to add them back.

    I tried multiple solutions - including the one given in august 2018 on this forum - but I am still unable to create a gmail account that will sync properly.

    Thank you in advance for your assistance.

    Gmail - Getting mails not exactly sent to me

    No one else is getting anyone's mail because of this... It is NOT a bug.
    It is intentional. All those addresses belong to you, no matter where the dot.

    Quoted from GMail help:

    Test it... send yourself an email with no dot in your name.

    According to a comment on this post . . .

    Potential Solutions

    Based on some quick research there may be two options that may help resolve this. . .

    1. Enable the 2-Step Verification functionality and security feature with your Gmail account and then use the 2-Step Verification to verify and trust the Windows Mail app to have access to your Gmail account
    2. Enable and use the Less Secure Apps functionality by turning that ON and using your usual Gmail account password with the Windows Mail app to authenticate

    Cannot add Hotmail or gmail account to Mail and Calendar App

    Hi

    I was logged on with my non admin account and tried to add a gmail account to Mail and Calendar app - error 0x8004005. Uninstalled app and downloaded and reinstalled. Same result

    Signed in with my admin account and same message. Tried to add a Microsoft account and got the same message. Account was listed in drop down box of options. I am running Outlook 2007 on this PC.

    On my laptop I use Mail and Calendar and added a gmail account to my two existing hotmail accounts. Added account using my non admin account.

    Suggestions?
