Adding hardware to OEM licensed version

    Hello

I'm thinking of buying a refurbished desktop (presumably an old business machine) which has Windows 10 Pro installed. They say it has the COA available with the PC.

I would like to upgrade some of the components - HDD, RAM and possibly a better GPU (all of which I have from previous builds). The motherboard and CPU won't be changed.

Is this likely to cause problems with the Windows 10 activation?

    Thanks

    K

    :)

  2. Windows 10 OEM Licensing

    Hi

I have a few questions about windows 10 OEM licensing:

    • Is OEM licensing acceptable for business use?
    • What restrictions does OEM licensing have other than the transfer rights?
    • Can the OS be reloaded without breaching the license agreement, and if so, can I also replace the HDD with an SSD?
    • What other hardware upgrades can be done under OEM licensing?
    • What would be a breach of OEM licensing?
    • What benefits would a business get if they move to Microsoft 365 vs OEM?
    Thanks in advace

  3. install oem license multiple time in just one pc

Not a problem reinstalling on Windows 10 OEM on the same machine.

OEM versions of Windows are identical to Full License Retail versions except for the following:

    - OEM versions do not offer any free Microsoft direct support from Microsoft support personnel

    - OEM licenses are tied to the very first computer you install and activate it on

    - OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

    - OEM versions cannot be used to directly upgrade from an older Windows operating system

you can perform a clean install, several ways:

    Option 1:

    Option 2:

    Option 3:

Step 1: How to download official Windows 10 ISO files

  4. Adding hardware to OEM licensed version

Can I activate my OEM license to another system if hardware problem occurs?

So, you would need to purchase a new license.
