Windows 10: Adding printers from 2019 Server print server.

Printers from previous Print Server were imported and some did not work and were removed and the printers were added manually in Print Management. However when you go to Printers and Scanners and try to add them on the workstation it does not download the drivers and errors saying no drivers. If you go into Control Panel: Devices and Printers and add the same printer from the same print server the drivers download to the PC and the printers work. Anyone else come across this???

i add windows shared printer ( named A ) to my windows server 2019. the A printer is shown in control panel\deive and printer but is not shown in print servers\printers.

Q: what kind of printer is listed in Print Servers\Printers ?

 

Basic print server

yes, its linux, itl work with any os and any printer.

GRANTED you might have to make sure you are useing a router with the proper hardware to be able to connect to the printer, or some kind of gobetween, like my router does not have USB...

not real sure about DD-WRT's print server capibilitys but openWRT definatly has a package for that

Print to PDF on Windows Server 2019

Hi,

Was anyone able to setup print to pdf on Windows Server 2019?

The option is not available on the list of Microsoft drivers.

I have checked Windows Features.
