Group Policy - Disable Let Windows Manage My Default Printer

Download and install the latest Win10 ADMX files on your workstation:

Administrative Templates (.admx) for Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (1709)

Take note of the extraction path then browse to it , let's say :

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Group Policy\Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (1709)\PolicyDefinitions

copy all the AMDX files and the ADML language folder you need i.e. en-US to the central store , like in :

\\yourdomain.something\SYSVOL\yourdomain.something\Policies\PolicyDefinitions

Backup that folder just in case, then copy over and replace the contents:





Then you'll see the new policy available under User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Control Panel\Printers :

Windows Hello greyed out if login to Domain Account but enabled if login locally

After adding the ADMX files from Windows 10 I changed the following to Enabled.

Computer\Policies\Administrative Templates\System\Logon\Turn on convenience PIN sign-in

This resolved the issue of the PIN being greyed out.
