  2. How to correct misspelled name on Windows 10?

For those who don't see the "rename" option, it wouldn't work even if you saw it, if you're logged in as yourself (the folder would be in use). However, I did this for a user whose name was misspelled and now he gets a profile error ("can't sign you in,
you've been signed in with a temporary profile") each and every time he logs in. There must be a solution other than his living with a misspelled name! Please advise, thank you.

  3. Administrator account

In this forum we regularly deal with questions from users whose one and only admin account went bad. They are in the same position as someone who has a single house key but no spare key. The risks are obvious, hence having a spare admin account is an excellent
idea. If you now delete your old admin account then you might come to regret it.

To gain full access to your old profile folder you need to seize ownership of it then give yourself full access rights - see here:

They look related to Dell or XPS print driver downloading. Do they show up when you Run netplwiz ?

    Administrator account

This is only a theory based on some assumptions which would explain your situation.

Assuming your computer is named as XPS9100 and again assuming that you use the built-in administrator account as your personal user account as seems to be the case (a big NO NO, something you should never do!), the following is a plausible cause:

When built-in admin account has been enabled first time it naturally took default name Administrator. Sometime later you have changed PC name, done an upgrade, or reset Windows choosing to keep personal files (default.migrated folder hints upgrade or reset might be the case), a new user profile has been created for user Administrator but as two profiles can't have same name, Windows by default names the second one as USERNAME.PCNAME, third one with same name as USERNAME.PCNAME.000, and so on.

In this case I assume Administrator.XPS9100.001 is the actual current profile. To check this, sign in to Windows with that Administrator account, open Command Prompt, type echo %userprofile% and press Enter. It shows current user's profile path:

You can delete the default.migrated folder as well as all those Administrator folders that do not belong to current Administrator profile.

I don't use the built-in administrator account as my personal user account. I log in as Carolyn-1.
I deleted all the oldest administrator accounts, and everything seems to be working OK.

Good to know everything is OK.

My apologies for coming to wrong conclusion: Your forums username is Clint, your screenshot only shows two users Administrator and Carolyn. Was fairly logical to assume you are using Administrator account.
