Thank you Computiac. I've always had bad results with Adobe's forums, but your link nailed it. I've gone through several of the posts at that link and it looks like a crapshoot. Sometimes it installs/works fine, sometimes not. Hmm...I just might have to roll the dice since I'd like to upgrade to Win10.

  3. Your welcome.
Several of the post's mentioned using compatibility mode, it may be an option for you also.

    Adobe Photoshop CS2 - Incompatible with W10?

Yeah, I've considered compat mode. Another workaround might be to do the standard upgrade over Win8, leaving everything intact & working <crossing fingers>, instead of a clean install. But I hate doing that, as clean installs are always preferred and the most stable, though it'll chew up days getting prepared, then afterwards reinstalling & reconfiguring everything.

If you want to, you could do an upgrade and if everything works right, then do a clean install when you are ready to do it.

Yes, that's another option. In your experience & readings, has the reversion back to Win 8.1 from Win 10 (within the 30 day limit) been successful, in case Photoshop borks in Win10?

I can't tell you about Photoshop as I don't use it. I upgraded from Windows 7. On a couple of systems I reverted back to 7 from 10 and everything went perfect. Some people have had issues though. You can make a system image using whatever your chosen imaging program is and restore the image if the revert program does not work right. I always recommend doing that in any case.

Yeah, I always do a system image too...weekly, in fact. Good thing I live in Vegas...I'm used to rolling the dice. Actually, playing poker, but you get my point.
