Windows 10: Adobe Suite, CAD programs, and Google Earth suddenly crashing on Windows 10 with NVIDIA...

I use an ASUS FX53V laptop with an NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti GPU. I used to be able to run several graphics-heavy programs at a time without any problems. However, about a month ago I restarted my computer (I believe because of a windows update) and immediately began experiencing problems. Photoshop started crashing randomly, sometimes while saving or just performing simple tasks. Google Earth crashes while saving photos, and CAD programs crash during complex tasks. Usually, the program will freeze for about 30 seconds, my computer fan will start running intensely, and then the program will close. About 1 in 10 times, I'll get a blue screen and the PC has to restart. This is extremely frustrating, and after a confused, dropped call with Microsoft support I'm turning to the community.


I have tried the following things, without success:

- Restart the computer

- Update all Adobe and CAD programs

- Update my GPU drivers (and disable functions I don't need)

- Perform a PC "cleanup" with Avast


I need results fast. I'm a student who relies on these programs daily. I appreciate any help!

Google Earth is not running in Windows 10.

• Are you downloading Google Earth from Windows Store or browser?
• If browser, which browser are you using to download Google Earth?
• What is the message displayed on screen when downloading Google Earth?

I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the Google Earth in compatibility mode.
Follow the below steps:

1. Right click on the setup file and select Properties.

2. Select Compatibility tab.

3. Check Run this program in Compatibility mode.

4. Let the Google Earth install and then check the functionality.

window 10 doesn't run google Earth or pro.

Placing your system in Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. You need to follow the steps from the article mentioned below to perform a Clean Boot.

Google Earth freezes after upgrade to Win 10

I am experiencing a similar crash problem.

I am using a Panasonic Tough book CF-53. Running the latest Windows 10

Google Earth opens normally but as soon as I zoom in the Google Earth program shts off completely.

I have all of the fixes suggested above and still have the problem.

Completely lost now with no idea what to try next??????
