Windows 10: Advance search missing in File Explorer after update to windows version 1909

Where is the advanced search in the 1909 version of File Explorer. I search using date modified today, yesterday, past 7 days....... It doesn't seem to be in 1909 version I updated on Feb 5th 2020 - A comment of the new File Explorer Yucky having to click the arrow key to start a search. One more keystroke than older version.

1909 Update file explorer search issue.

New 1909 update broke the file explorer search. Now after file explorer window has been open 10+ minutes the search option is grayed out. Text does not show in the bar and the only way to be able to type again is to task kill file explorer from taskmgr.
I have tried to run the search and index troubleshooter but it says everything is working as intended. I have restarted the windows search service, and I have reset the windows search but this issue happens every day. Any suggestions?

 

How to revert file explorer search function prior to Windows 10 feature update version 1909

I would like to revert my file explorer search function to the one prior to feature update version 1909.

The new "updated" search function for Windows file explorer is slow, clunky, and doesn't give to option to clear one's search history.

I had previously uninstalled the version 1909 update from Windows settings but the search function remains the same.

Please advise on how to revert the file explorer search function to what it was prior to this "update".
