    Hi, i am having trouble now playing my game son my acer nitro 5 laptop it says reason being is system32 advpack.dll. I have tried alot of things to resolve this problem even tried to download directx but the advpack stops it from downloading .     advpack.dll issue

    I uninstalled C++ 2005 redistributable package (x86) because of a suggestion I read online to mod a game called Morrowind, and now I am trying to mod Witcher 1, and it is trying to install that same C++ 2005 package again. It;s a Steam game, so it detected
    it was missing. When I go to install it again, I get an error messge "windows/system32\advpack.dll error, or can't be found". So it won't let me reinstall the package. I also downloaded it separately from microsoft.com, and tried to reinstall it, and got the
    same message..

    Any suggestions?

    Advpack.dll Error

    The game I am trying to run says it requires DirectX Runtime, but after i downloaded the DirectX June Redist 2010, and the webinstaller, I was able to install the June one but not the webinstaller one. It says there was a problem with advpack.dll. I am
    unsure of what to do, and the game still says DirectX Runtime is not there.

    I think Windows defender has blocked some needed apps on my Dell laptop during a BIOS update and I can't install programs/apps I trust even though I say run anyway. I get "error creating process<C;Users\….>Reason C:\Windows\system32\advpack.dll
