    afd.sys BSOD

    I've been fighting BSOD crashes for about a month and haven't been able to figure out what driver is causing afd to crash my PC this way.There is nothing in particular that I'll be doing. The previous crash happened as I opened ClipStudioPaint and the time before that I had been looking through Discord when I got the BSOD. Every BSOD stop code is: "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" I've also run through and updated drivers as I can.Running the .dmp files through WinDbg has pointed to the same thing of afd.sys being the reason, but that's as far as I can get with just poking around on other questions and

    7 different BSoD

    Hey guys,

    I have a serious problem. I make it as short as possible:

    • system runs 100 % fine with the 10.12
    • updatet to Catalyst 11.1 -> BSoD
    • updatet to 11.1 Hotfix -> BSoD
    • rollback to 10.12 -> BSoD
    • removed ALL AMD files manually, installed 10.12 -> BSoD
    • Temps are fine
    • no sfc /scannow errors
    • no chkdsk errors
    • Prime, Furmark all fine
    • regardless what driver I install -> BSoD
    • I did no hw changes, no OC
    Here are my BSoDs I receive:
    • 0x0000010e
    • 0x1000007e
    • 0x0000007e
    • 0x0000004e
    • 0x0000003b
    • dxgmms1.sys
    • PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
    They all refer to the GPU of course ...

    From now on I receive a BSoD every time I try to play a game (especially BC2 and SC II) even if I completely remove the old driver and make a clean install.
    Apparently the 11.1 damaged my system irreparable.

    Any advice or info would be very much appreciated *Smile afd.sys BSOD :)

    dxgmms2.sys BSOD

    Hello,

    A while back, my computer lost power while it was installing windows updates. Since then, I've had BSODs every couple days, with various errors pointing to a driver error. These were annoying, but manageable. I tried a few basic troubleshooting steps, like
    using a removal tool for my graphics card drivers and reinstalling, but I didn't do much else.

    The last couple days, the BSOD rate has ramped up, and I started seeing "dxgmms2.sys" get listed in the BSODs, which is relatively new.

    I followed the instructions
    here.

    And here are my dmp files resulting from that:
    https://1drv.ms/u/s!Au4wk9mJt6sJgcFgkEXA4rOFod4-cg?e=wIzEMq

    Thanks.

    BSOD while using the internet. error (L1C63x64.sys)

    Hi trainman81,

    Welcome to the 10forums.

    Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
    Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.
    1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
    2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below

    afd.sys BSOD [IMG]

    If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

    AVG is trying to request data from the internet, which is why the network driver is marked as the cause.

    It is further recommended to check your Qualcomm network driver for updates, its driver is not supported for Windows 10.
