After a browser hijack Hijack.PushNotifications, I cannot start OneDrive W11. The files are present in File Explorer and onedrive.live. Tried phrasing and repharising as infinitum and the result is only deadends. I'd appreciate the help. Thanks. After reading what you went through I would strongly suggest you read the advice of Monkey57 and try his steps. Normally

Browser hijackers don't show this kind of behavior and more could be going on. Normally I don't suggest Resetting your computer but in this case....

 

Removal of Browser Hijacker

Search opens local files in OneDrive folder only in browser

To resolve your concern regarding opening local files on OneDrive, follow the steps below:

• Go to
  OneDrive.com.
• Right click on the file that you want to view.
• Click on Download.
• The file will be downloaded, and would normally show up on the bottom part of your browser.
• Click the file, and it would open up using its normal default application.
