Windows 10: After installing Windows 10 22H2 KB5044273 October update Quick Assist does not work...

When our Intune managed laptops have installed the Windows 10 22H2 KB5044273 October update Quick Assist does not work anymore. This is a huge issue since a lot of users already have this update installed. We are in intune Windows update ring 3. Our support staff has a lot of trouble helping users right now.After removing the Windows 10 22H2 KB5044273 October update Quick Assist starts working immediately. This update is the root cause of this problem Maybe a rights issue in combination with webview2.Please patch this problem in the next update. Removing the KB5044273 may solve the Quick Ass

How to get the Windows 10 2022 Update version 22H2 Win Update

If you can't install it from windows update you can try to install it manually, it's the same KB5015684 obtained with windows update. Quick Assist not working

Good diagnostic step.

You've tried disabling 3rd party program startups, but there could be more things starting beyond those listed in the task manager startup list, if that's what you used.

Ideally you would have hands on access to both PCs... but that's not so. All credit to them for creating a new user account etc.

If you wished to disable more startups on the problem account you could use Autoruns (free from MS). But that seems asking a bit much of someone else remotely.

Of course, the problem could have nothing whatsoever to do with startups... you might want to check all services are default, for example, in particular those necessary for this.

Presumably it's not been blocked by the firewall:

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP
